PSCO excelled itself in laying on this final Xmas party and a damned good time was had by one and all
Tony Maskill and Ian Burt did a great job as bar staff on the day.
The main venue for the party and I am pretty sure that it was in the EAS section.
Sqn Ldr Sargeant on the right with F/O O`Hara leaning back on the bar.
Party warming up and Bill Curtis (third from left) is singing, Ken Millington (second from right) is clinking glasses.
NCO`s and officers hobnobbing at the bar. Civvy Mr Thompson extreme left and Sqn Ldr Sargeant extreme right.
I do not know these guys by name but they are certainly having a good time.
I think one is Ray Penney
Dave Lock from Litchfield on left with John (Smudger) Smith
Cpl Roy Whistance seated right, looks across a crowded room.
Another of the Greek civvy PSCO workers with glass in hand.
Two wives who attended the party but those are not their empties.
Bill Curtis, a very good mate.
I do`nt think Dave Lock was drinking tea here.
Those two ladies again. I was right, those empties belong to the guys on the left.
Heaven knows what was happening here but Dave Lock and Smudger Smith look mighty amused.
I`m sure Mr Thompson did not leave that spot on the bar.
The variety show laid on was absolutely magnificent complete with music, song and laughter from these guys and others who I am unable to provide any names except Letzer.
For a better picture coverage of the party variety show, take a look at Colin Harrington`s page.
Mario Letzer sings - fabulous
During the party, P/O Scott livened things up by starting a fire to test the duty firemen !!
We set off for home from Abu - Sueir Jan 9th 1956

Everybody climbs aboard. Bottom left is Tony Maskill with Bill Curtis giving me his usual beaming smile
Tony and Bill pause at the hatchway for a final pose
