on June 23rd 2016. EU Referendum Day
The George Inn
Health reasons mainly restricted the attendance today although valiant efforts by Bas and Les to get there were much appreciated. Early arrivals were concerned about John Basell who set off early but did not roll in untill after noon due to hold ups partly caused by the severe storms of the previous night while Les Archer was chauffeured in by his son Nick following a hospital appointment earlier that morning. It was also a pleasure to meet up with the late Pete Eva`s sister, Catherine Eva.

EXILES MEET AT THE BUCK & BELL AT
LONG ITCHINGTON, WARWICKSHIRE MARCH 12th 2015
Alwyn..." my apologies to all. I`m afraid that my bucket is now full and overflowing !....In February I e-mailed John that I was planning to attend this meet then I went downstairs and marked up my calender for March 26th !!!!. I was shocked to get John`s report last night regardless of the fact that last week, among many others at a family party, I picked up and suffered from this Novovirus bug. I had improved a bit by last Thursday but of course I was still thinking it was still two weeks away. I seem to recall that this has happened before. Sorry to have missed you all ".

Although based in El Hamra over the road, Rod was a bona-fide member of the Exiles and was warmly welcomed to the meet. Here Rod is behind Frank and Colleen Petter with Eileen on the right wearing a pink cardigan. Frank received the following message back from Harry Taysom after Frank called him after the event to mention about Rod`s appearance
