I enclose my final layout drawing of the airmen`s mess and surrounding buildings circa `53/54 ( unless of course if anyone should come along with more info).
I have used the Google Sat views as the template with the concrete foundations that are still visible. To this I have carefully examined the various photo`s I have in my collection to see a ground level picture. With the further help of John Basell, Maurice ( Butch ) Hart, Frank Petter, Ray Williams and the excellent photo collection of Colin Harrington, I submit my opinion of where those three mystery photo`s shown as Photo`s A, B and C on the plan by Colin, were actually taken. I can only assume that A was taken at the side of Building "B" on the plan and that building could have been the Transit Overflow Mess building.
The other Photo`s "D"; "E" ; "F" ; "G" ; and "H" are just samples of the photo`s used in my research

There is still one question about this Airmen`s Mess layout that still puzzles me.
The verandah on the left hand side-from the noticeboard end was the way I used to walk in to the mess-turning right at the other end-where the large tank of hot greasy water used to be. Having turned right into the mess, the serving area was on the right hand side (as confirmed by Frank and Butch)....Question :- The pre-cooked food would have been carried over from the cookhouse section at the back of the serving cooks. - there was at least one door where the cooks would time to time go in for more food. This does not seem to fit into the plan with there being a verandah along that side ?..........All good Kas Time Team Trivia !!
